Each year, DESF awards educational scholarships to students living in our community pursuing post-secondary degrees. The primary goal of DESF scholarships is to provide educational financial assistance to students that may or may not have the advantage of other financial aids.
How many scholarships does DESF award each year?
DESF awards 4 educational scholarship each year. How much does DESF award to each scholarship recipient? The current value of each scholarship is $5,000, payable $1,250 each year to an accredited college or university for the student’s tuition. How does DESF select its scholarship recipients? Completed scholarship applications need to be mailed with applicant's high school transcripts to: Destination Education A Scholarship Foundation (DESF) 4215 White Bear Pkwy Suite 100 Saint Paul, MN 55110 Office hours: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm When are scholarship applications due? DESF's scholarship applications will be due March 31st. When are scholarship winners announced? This year, DESF will announce its scholarship recipients on May 5th. What happens if I am chosen as a DESF scholarship recipient? Once scholarship recipients have been selected, they are notified by mail mid-April. DESF holds a June Scholarship Reception at Midland Hills where past and present scholarship recipients and their families are invited to attend. What happens once a DESF scholarship recipient recipient goes off to college? Scholarship recipients are required to mail in their most recent college transcript once a school year to collect their annual scholarship payment.
